Bukezian Airforce

Bukezian Airforce

Pre Republic

When Bukezia became an independent country, Kuresk airbase fell within their borders. Bukezia was fortunate that it contained a lot of stored aircraft and they had pilots. But most of the aircraft needed repairs and they had few aircraft engineers.

What few engineers they had were put to work restoring the MIG-25's, the Government felt that its priority was to protect its airspace but when in September 1992 civil war broke out they swapped their priority to getting the SU-25's airborne to provide CAS.
